My name is István Gémes. I am 32 years old. I grow rose-trees.

After finishing my studies I worked for rose-growers and gardeners for 3 years. With the experience I gained we planted our first rose with my better half in 1999.

By 2004 we achieved excellent results, so I registered our rose-growing. The Plant Sanitation Service controls our cultivation ever since.

We started on a 2.400 m² farmstead which has grow to a 6 ha big estate by today. This way the annual stand of 15.000 - 20.000 stems has increased to 80.000 - 100.000 feet of rose-trees.

During the past years we expanded the equipment park, still we need competent and helpfull employees, since plenty of manual work is required to achieve the perfect quality. (For example, in the picture on the right you can see the planting of saplings.)

Besides growing our plants with utmost care and attention, we would like to cultivate and put on market the licenced roses of other rose-fanciers with their permission. My aim is to expand the variety of my supply so as to satisfy every demand of my present and future costumers. This way I could ensure the existence and development of my rose-garden.

Conclusion

In addition to our cultivation I would like to make myself master of growing (as far as my possibilities allow it) the Damascene rose.
